“Amazing. Fresh Start is a truly top-notch organization. Their work on our property was fantastic. They did remodeling work on our 1930s colonial home, and we could not be more pleased with the results. From basic wallpaper removal and painting to general repairs and reconstruction including termite damage repair, the quality of the work, complete and meticulous attention to detail, and the overall finished product is just wonderful. They also completely replaced our roof, both regular shingle and a rubber roof portion, and installed soffit vents and a solar passive fan (their idea). Ben O'Sullivan-Pierce (President and owner) is a pleasure to work with--he's patient, he's professional, he's detailed and he makes sure the job is done perfectly. Ben's got great ideas, as a project is evolving he'll present options to make it better, but not necessarily more expensive. Jeff Rubino (Project Manager) is so thorough and meticulous, doing the work on site and taking care of every last item. And the team they have on site was always so neat and made sure our property wasn't completely messy during the process. Fresh Start went above and beyond what they were contracted to do on our property, fixing additional items or spending additional time to make sure something was "done right." In my view, the sign of a good contractor is how they operate when a mistake or something unplanned has happened. In our case, there was a problem with the rubber roof installation. Ben didn't miss a beat, he had the old roof removed immediately and a new one installed. without hesitation. Ben also helped us through some sticky issues with the Boston inspectional services department which we wouldn't have been able to navigate on our own. These are good, honest guys and are very likeable, too. We will be contacting Fresh Start again for future work. I recommend Fresh Start and would use them again in a heartbeat.
